    .WHAT HAS CHANGED... Flood watch extended into Friday.

    .KEY MESSAGES... 1) Additional rounds of showers and storms are expected from this afternoon into Friday. Locally heavy rainfall and flooding will continue to be a concern.

    2) Warmer temperatures will develop over the weekend with lesser coverage of showers and storms until a cold front moves through the region Sunday night.

    .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGE 1) Convection occurring from southwest Indiana into eastern Kentucky may brush by some of the Kentucky counties early this morning, but any heavier rainfall will most likely not affect those areas. After that, it looks like a good part of the day will be mainly dry. There will be a surface boundary from west central Indiana into northeast Kentucky which will define an instability gradient. Storms may develop mid to late afternoon with any weak mid level perturbations tracking across the area. There could be a few strong to severe cells. Heavy rainfall could also occur but looks to be progressive.
