DisasterStatus is operated by DevRig LLC, Wyoming, USA (the controller). This is a plain-English summary of everything the site does with data.

Referral service, not a restoration company

DisasterStatus is a free referral service, not a restoration company. We connect homeowners with vetted, independent local restoration professionals. Calls are answered by a participating local pro — not by DisasterStatus. We may be paid a referral fee by the professionals we connect you with, at no cost to you.

Account-free & phone-only

There are no accounts, no logins, no billing and no forms. The only way we connect you with a pro is a phone call: tapping a call button dials a tracked number, and the call-routing platform matches you with a local professional by your location. The site itself collects and stores no personal details. There are no display ads, no advertising cookies, and no non-essential cookies requiring a consent banner (GDPR + UK PECR).

What is processed, and why

  • Caller details (your phone number and, if the IVR asks, your ZIP) — processed by the call-routing platform to match and connect you with a local professional. Not retained by DisasterStatus. Legal basis: your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Call data — calls placed through our numbers are routed to a participating local pro and may be recorded by the routing platform for quality and routing. Calls may be recorded for quality and routing. In two-party-consent states, you will hear a recording disclosure when connected.
  • Transient request data (e.g. IP address) — processed by our CDN to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f).

Who receives your data

The independent local restoration professional we match you with (via the call-routing network that connects your call), so they can help with your request. We do not sell your data.

Sub-processors

Cloudflare (edge/CDN hosting) and our call-routing network (routes — and may record — your call to a local pro). This list is specific to DisasterStatus and will be kept current.

Your rights & contact

You have the usual GDPR / UK GDPR and applicable US state privacy rights (access, deletion, objection, etc.). Because the site stores nothing, deletion requests are mainly directed to the routing network or the professional who handled your call. Contact [email protected].
