A Flash Flood Emergency was issued for Uvalde County as thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the area, with 10 to 20 inches of rainfall over 48 to 60 hours and an additional 2 to 4 inches possible. Flash flooding was already occurring with water rescues underway and structures impacted by water when the warning began on July 16. Homes in the affected area face immediate threats from water damage and subsequent mold.
