    The Tartar Fire, located approximately 21 miles northwest of Weiser, Idaho, was reported on July 24. The lightning-caused fire is burning in grass, brush and timber across a combination of private, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service, and State of Idaho lands.Great Basin Complex Incident Management Team 3 assumed command of the fire on Tuesday, July 28. Due to recent significant fire runs and anticipated growth to the north-northwest, residents and visitors should be aware of changes to public access.
