Rowe Creek Complex
Background:The Rowe Creek Complex is a cluster of lightning-caused wildfires with the majority of land impacted in Wheeler County, Oregon. These wildfires were ignited when a lightning storm passed over the Twickenham area on July 15 & 16, 2026. Central Oregon Type 3 Team took command of the Rowe Creek Complex at 6:00pm, on July 16. Northwest Complex Incident Management Team 2 (NW2) in Unified Command with Oregon State Fire Marshal Green Incident Management Team assumed command at 6:00am on July 18. The last day in Unified Command with Oregon State Fire Marshal Green Incident Management Team was July 19th.Primary fires original names: Crosswhite, Camel Hump, Red Rock and TwickenhamManaging Agencies: Bureau of Land Management, Oregon Department of Forestry, Oregon State Fire Marshal, Wheeler County Sheriff's Office, Rural Fire Protection Associations, U.S. Forest Service partners, National Park Service, Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, and cooperating agencies.Due to rapid fire growth and extreme regional fire activity, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has implemented closures across all BLM-administered land along both sides of the John Day River, from Service Creek nort…
