Hudspeth Fire
Hudspeth fire started on August 1, 2026 and approximately 3 miles southeast of Hunters. The northeastern part of the fire is in the Carpenter Road Fire scar. Fire officials continually assess current and anticipated fire behavior, engaging resources where needed to best meet objectives. Several large ranches/farms are in the area.Evacuation map can be found here at this link. A Red Cross Shelter has been opened at the Jenkins High School in Chewelah. Small animals are welcome and kennels are available.
