A severe flash flood warning was issued for the Cottonwood burn scar in eastern Beaver County following thunderstorms that produced between 0.4 and 0.7 inches of rain. Debris flow consisting of rock, mud, vegetation, and loose materials is moving through the Beaver River, creating considerable flood damage threat to homes in the affected area through water infiltration and subsequent mold.

FLASH FLOOD — 7 E Beaver, UT
Flash flood with muddy flow within Beaver Creek originating from the Cottonwood Fire burn scar. This flow then moved downstream of the burned area into eastern portions of Beaver City. Between 0.25 and 0.50 inches of rain fell over the area that originated the flow.
