Bench
The Bench Fire was reported at 3:00 pm July 23, 2026 in the area of Seekseequa on the Warm Springs Reservation. Extreme fire behavior was reported due to dry fuels and high wind. Fire Management responded immediately with engines, crews, dozers, skidgens, and an array of aerial support including single engine air tankers, large air tankers and VLATs or very large air tankers dropping water and retardant on the fires. Southwest Area Incident Management Team 4 assumed command of the Round Butte Fire on Monday, August 3, 2026. As of August 8, 2026, Round Butte Fire is at 1,163 acres and 90% containment.
